King Noalis

King Noalis's Personality

King Noalis is  a kind King who looks out for his people and others in his rule. He serves others more than himself, sometimes at his own detriment. His people adore him and he does whatever he can to be open to his people's opinions. He doubts himself a bit too often, but his best friend, Guardian Dailron always helps him work it out. Dailron and Noalis grew up together and share everything with one anothe; they are the perfect balance for each other. I formed their relationship off of the song "Brother" by Kodaline. Though they have different roles, him as king and his best friend as head Guardian, they remain close. Noalis likes to see the best in everyone, which weakens his leadership, but also makes him kind and beloved. Noalis loved his son Lunem, even with Lunem's violent nature. He worked hard to help Lunem see the path of peace, and never understood Lunem's hatred. He assumed his talking to's would work because they would have worked on himself. However, Lunem still remained as hateful as ever. Noalis was too naïve to notice it. When Noalis was killed by unknown means, Dailron blamed Lunem and Lunem blamed the refugee Talidian species, the Shunas. Lunem did grieve his father, but he also used the death to his advantage. Noalis was later honored in Kanti with their flag and crown marked to resemble the patterns on Noalis's forehead.

Design Symbolism

Noalis is a massive long haired Shilka. He is large to symbolize his fullness of love and ability to give and be kind to all of his people; his green coloring represents his self consciousness, but also how he was a hope to his people. It also symbolizes his prosperous rule. The blue-green is to represents his lack of spontaneity but also his gentle calmness and strength. His design is primarily round to show how his mindset is soft and open, ready to be informed and the tufts on his feet drag behind him and leave a trail just like he did with his legacy of becoming the symbol of Kanti even after his death.
